Photographers and stylists are often the unsung heros in fashion. Their hard work behind the scenes however, play an enormous role in terms of offering style inspiration and highlighting beautiful trends, stories and designs that grace the pages of magazines.
This week's spotlight is on Olivia Tsang, one of the hottest (as in well sought-after AND being drop-dead gorgeous all at once!) fashion photographer and stylist who is responsible for numerous cover stories and editorial for major titles including Cosmopolitan, Elle, Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, and Manifesto Magazine, just to name a few; as well as countless winning outfits seen on some of the most high profile celebrities from Asian stars Andy Lau, Eason Chan, and Michelle Chen, to Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

ES: How would you describe your style?
Olivia: Simple, sporty, and sometimes feminine. My day-to-day look needs to allow for long hours of moving around; shooting on set (imagine doing squads with weight/camera for a whole day!) or going to a dozen shops all over town to pick up items for my clients (imagine eating lunch in a cab or while walking!)
I'm usually in a T-shirt with shorts or jeans paired with sneakers or flip flops. I love jewelries by John Hardy and David Yurman, accessories help dress up my look to avoid people asking "are you going hiking?" which I get a lot from my neighbors.
Olivia looking equally chic in a casual tee+shorts+Superga for a work day in the studio; and rocking a figure-hugging neoprene scuba dress, her favorite summer piece, that makes her feel like she's on a vacation every time she puts it on.
ES: Can you share with us your fashion/style rule that you try to adhere to at work and in life?
Olivia: Be true to yourself, whether it is the things you do, the things you love or the clothes you wear. There is nothing more beautiful than that very organic confidence that only comes from being yourself!
ES: What is topping your must-have list for Autumn/Winter 2014?
Olivia: There is this gold python Giuseppe Zanotti heels and I love everything from the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection, from the campaign to the styling and the colorways.
The Fall/Winter 2014 campaign from 3.1 Phillip Lim is shot against a backdrop of New York City on a cloudy day. The gloomy background juxtaposes with the colorful yet moody palette of the collection.

ES: If you can raid a famous person’s wardrobe, whose would it be?
Olivia: My picks would be Penny Lane played by Kate Hudson in <Almost Famous> because I always want to know what it feels like to live in the 70s; and Chiara Ferragni because she really makes everything looks cool! And it's something that you would actually wear.
