electric sekki at chalayan fw13

Each season, Electric sekki has the distinct honour of being invited to the Chalayan show and, each season, it is the highlight of all of our trip there. Hussein Chalayan is one of the last remaining truly innovative, boundary-pushing designers working today; he never fails to amaze us with the beauty and creativity of his work. The Electric sekki team is also incredibly fortunate enough to have backstage access to the show each season and, we have to say, as far as backstage atmospheres at fashion weeks go, Chalayan's is a calm, super well-oiled machine! See how the magic happens backstage at Chalayan's Fall/Winter 2013 Paris Fashion Week show.

Backsage passes! That's just how we roll...

A model's make-up gets photographed backstage.

Hussein Chalayan (left) himself, looking very serene and relaxed backstage before the show. Ironically, backstage at the Chalayan show is definitely one of the most calm and relaxed atmospheres at fashion week!

The show line-up. So exciting!

Last-minute touches on this incredible 3D textured 'wall peel' dress.

Shoes, glorious shoes!

If you're curious, this is what the crazy photographer pit looks like at a show. Everyone fighting for the best space!

Look 5 coming down the runway.

Look 9, one of our favourite more wearable looks of the night; Chalayan's modern take on wardrobe classics such as denim and white shirting.

One of the three transforming dresses that the camera pit and show-goers went crazy over at the show!

The finale march.

Spotted: Style Bubble's Susie Bubble looking like her usual fashionable quirky self at the Chalayan show. So happy to see her there!

Spotted: Hong Kong super stylist Ricky Kwok outside the Chalayan show looking ultra chic decked out in purple!
