chalayan f/w '12: runway

Yesterday we took you backstage at the Chalayan show; today, we're taking you to the front row. Chalayan's show was definitely the highlight for us this fashion week. Not only was the collection beautiful, the show was also wonderfully executed to highlight each design story within the show. The overall mood of the show was simple and effortless, but achinglycool. "I've been doing this for so long; a lot of it is instinctive," Chalayan told Style.com's Tim Blank's after the show. It really was. We also managed to speak to him quickly backstage before the show began and the designer was calm and collected. His confidence and cool was wonderfully reflected in the clothes he sent down the catwalk. The pieces our buyers are loving so far? The dual-coloured coats are a surefire hit for the coming fall.
