Spotlight On: Nicopanda's Spring Summer 2016 Collection By Nicola Formichetti

nic_ins_ss16_018
The collection explores two opposite seemingly personalities: the graceful aura of ballerinas and the rampant rebellious nature of punks. Through a romantic point of view these two worlds are brought together to recreate "uniforms" to accomodate their every move to convey an outward feeling.

The collection once again explores crossing a line while blurring another. The genderless collection aims to break boundaries yet again on who wears what.

Spotlight On: Hunter Original Spring/Summer 2016 Show At London Fashion Week

Hunter_LFW_SS16_FInale

On Saturday 19 September 2015,  Hunter Original celebrated its iconic connection with music festivals, with a spring/summer 2016 collection that took its inspiration from the muddy fields. The ripstop tent interior of the setting, complete with guy ropes, referenced the unmistakable landscape of the festival fields, and the looks themselves, drew on the spirit of the most epic festival experience.

Hunter presented the ultimate festival journey, featuring the tools to survive whatever the climate throws at you. From the early highs of a sun-soaked main stage, to the after-hours downpour where adventure begins.

Lightweight nylon fabrics and Hunter sneakers were introduced, alongside waterproof rubber and vinyl jackets. Guy-rope fastenings on waxed cotton outerwear referenced the show set, while colourful tent fabric wrapped classic festival footwear.

Technical performance soles were fixed onto soft suede uppers and bags were crafted with welded seams to offer the definitive weather-resistant accessory. Colours evoked hazy summer sunsets – sun-bleached dégradés in sorbet and lilac, alongside dusty neutrals.
