When in Paris... visit a couture studio, if you get the chance! When we heard that Alexis Mabille was not only showing his beautiful Fall/Winter 2015 collection this season at his studio in the historic Galerie Vivienne, but also his couture collection (which bowed a few weeks earlier) to a select few lucky guests, we dropped everything and headed straight there. Mabille has a strong background in fashion, having paid his dues at the famous houses of Nina Ricci and Ungaro before spending much of his career under John Galliano at Dior. In 2008, Alexis showed his first couture collection during the prestigious Paris Couture Fashion Week. Since then, he has introduced a ready-to-wear label sharing many of the same design aesthetics as his couture; more specifically, a penchant for the beautiful, the feminine and the whimsical. His signature motif is the bow, which can be found throughout his collections, reinterpreted in different ways. Follow us as we take you behind-the-scenes and into the secret magical world of Alexis Mabille couture, as well as give you a closer look at some of our favourite pieces from his Fall/Winter 2015 collection.

The combination of pink and grey was an important colour palette for Alexis this season. Grey marled fabrics were also popular for Alexis for Fall, due to their athletic look.
