superga diy: a pair & a spare

We've saved our last Superga DIY collaboration for the queen of all DIY projects, Geneva Venderzeil, who runs the immensely popular DIY blog, A Pair & A Spare. Geneva is originally from Australia, where she started A Pair & A Spare, but relocated to Asia several years ago. Since then, Genevahas gone from strength to strength, even publishing her first book, DIY Fashionista, late last year. For her Superga DIY, Geneva went for a classic approach, using every DIY-er's favourite technique of studding, creating an edgy spiked toecap for her Superga's. Love it!

superga diy: wanderlister+

If you're ever stuck for interesting things to do or see in Hong Kong and Asia, one of our favourite sites to visit is The Wanderlister+. Run by JJ Acuna, an architect by day and art/lifestyle/fashion blogger by night, The Wanderlister+ is packed full of information on interesting events and exhibitions happening around the region. JJ himself is a stylish man who favours tailoring, colour and a slight preppy slant. Always on top of his trends, we were keen to see what he'd come up with for his Superga DIY. He kept it simple, decorating his classic black 2750's with a simple loose metallic stripe along the sides, creating a high-contrast, eye-catching design. Sometimes, keeping it simple really is best!

superga diy: cindiddy

Blogger Cindy Ko of Cindiddy has always referred to herself as a "Noble Nobody"; it has become somewhat of a overarching theme for both her blog and her lifestyle. So, when it came to her Superga DIY, it came as no surprise to us to see her Superga's emblazoned with her "Noble Nobody" slogan. So, what exactly is a "Noble Nobody"? According to Cindy, it's anybody who is "passionate and driven with what they do." Adding pastel paints for a colour blocking effect gave her sneakers an undeniably summery feeling, while removing the laces and studding the shoe tongue to its body gave it an unexpected edgy twist. Her goal with her Superga DIY was in line with her goals in life: "Keep it simple and straight forward, but always memorable." A wise motto for life, andanother DIY design that you can easily accomplish on your own at home.
