divia harilela: all i want for christmas

As a born and bred Hong Kong-er, Divia Harilela knows all the ins and outs of the city. Throw in thirteen years as a fashion and lifestyle journalist and you know you can count on her to have all the inside information on what's happening around town. After a stint as The South China Morning Post's Fashion Editor, Divia decided to branch out on her own; more specifically, she founded The D-Vinein 2011, which she hopes will become Asia's leading online fashion and lifestyle source. In addition to managing The D-Vine, Divia is also a regular contributor to Vogue China, Jing Daily, Business of Fashion and Surface Asia, among others. Find out what Divia wants this Christmas in Electric sekki's All I Want for Christmas feature below!

Best gift you've ever given?
IT SOUNDS CHEESY BUT EVERY YEAR MY COUSIN NISHA ORGANISES A CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR THE KIDS AT THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE. WE ALL GET INVOLVED AND ARRANGE ACTIVITIES LIKE COOKIE DECORATING AND PAINTING. THE KIDS LOVE IT AND SO DO WE.

Best gift you've ever received?
I AM ALL ABOUT SENTIMENTAL GIFTS - FAVOURITES OVER THE YEARS HAVE INCLUDED A CARTIER TRINITY RING FROM MY DAD, A BOX OF OLD PHOTOS OF ME AND MY GRANDDAD, AND FRAMED PICTURES WITH MY SISTERS ON THE BEACH IN HAWAII.

Worst gift you've ever given?
GIFT VOUCHERS - IT SHOWS NO IMAGINATION BUT THEY ARE SO EASY!

Worst gift you've ever received?
A BRIGHT NEON PINK FUR HAT. I KEPT IT FOR YEARS EVEN THOUGH I HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH IT.

Favorite holiday dish?
RACLETTE - MY GRANDMA SERVES IT UP AT OUR CHRISTMAS PARTY EVERY YEAR! I ALSO LOVE TURKEY AND CHRISTMAS COOKIES.

Favorite holiday drink?
MULLED WINE - ITS SO WARM AND COZY.

All I want for Christmas this year is...
A HOLIDAY.

Holiday shopping strategy?
BUY ONLINE - I'VE ORDERED MOST OF MY PRESENTS ALREADY. I'M ALL ABOUT PERSONALISED OR BESPOKE ITEMS, ESPECIALLY JEWELLERY.

What will you be wearing this Christmas?
VELVET BLAZER, LANVIN DRESSES AND HEIRLOOM JEWELS.
